Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I before the establishment of Jaipur, Garh Ganesha Temple is located at the top of Aravali Hills and is visible almost from every part of Jaipur city. He kept the statue of Lord Ganesha in the temple such a way that he could be able to see using binoculars from the Chandra Mahal of City Palace.
Govind Dev Ji
Govind Dev Ji temple is one of the most attractive and divine temple of the world. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh ll brought the idol of Lord Krishna from Vrindavan in 1753 followed by his dream of Lord Krishna. It is said that the idol which rests in the temple is an identical copy of Lord Krishna when he incarnated on earth.
Kale Hanuman Ji
Kale Hanuman Ji temple is amongst the oldest temples in Jaipur said to be around 1000 years old. Unlike other Hanuman temples where idol is mainly red or orange in color, the idol in this temple is black in color and that is why it is fondly known as Kale Hanuman Ji ka mandir.
Galta JI Temple
Galata Ji temple is an ancient temple which is few kilometres away from the Jaipur city and is mainly famous for the ponds, natural springs and landscapes which attract the pilgrims and visitors. Another reason of its being famous is Ramgopal Ji temple in the complex also known as Monkey Temple due to the large tribe of monkeys who live here in the temples.
Tadkeshwar Ji Temple
Tadkeshwar Mahadev temple situated in the Chaura Rasta of Jaipur is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is said to be built in 1784. Being so old and famous, the temple has hundred thousands of followers and visitors every day. The idol ‘Shivling’ is made of Black stone in a 9” diameter.
Moti Doongri Temple
Built by Seth Jai Ram Paliwal in the 18th century, Moti Doongri is one of the major tourist attractions and is followed and worshipped by lakhs of devotees. The temple is situated on a small hillock and is surrounded by exquisite palace. Near to it is the famous Birla temple as well which is famous for its architecture categorising it as a must visit place.
Shila Devi Temple
Shila Devi Temple is located in the fort of Amber. Idol of Goddess Durga rests in the temple which was brought by Raja Maan Singh l from Jessore. Amber fort is a major attraction for tourist and so is the temple. Every year millions of devotees and pilgrims visit temple during Navratri to offer prayers to Goddess.
